Mose Highsmith grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. He attended high school at Pender Academy in Rocky Point, and was a Criminal Justice major at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. Mose is a former Wilmington Police Officer, and Emergency Preparedness Specialist at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant.
Graduating from the Campbell University School of Law in 1996, Mose Highsmith moved to
western North Carolina where he served as an Assistant District Attorney, Sheriff’s staff attorney, Cherokee tribal attorney, and private practice trial attorney.
Mose has extensive knowledge in representing victims of domestic violence and while serving as Assistant District Attorney in Waynesville, North Carolina, is credited with prosecuting the first marital rape case in North Carolina to result in a conviction.
Mose returned to his home town of Wilmington in 2006 and established Highsmith Law Firm, P.A. The office is located at 709 Princess Street, Wilmington North Carolina.
