Coming Soon, In June! 31st Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival!

Some pretty epic things happened in 1985, but around these parts, 1985 marks the year that the Carolina Beach Music Festival was created. Who could have predicted then what an incredible event it would become?

Just as the Cape Fear Coast has experienced tremendous growth, so has our homegrown beach music festival! Of course, we are not surprised by its increasing popularity or by the fact that it is the longest running music festival of its kind!


What could be better than listening to live beach music right on the beach? The formula is pretty foolproof: 1 part gorgeous setting + tons of great beach music = a multitude of family fun! If you’re not the mathematical type, perhaps a picture is worth a thousand words:

As we sail through spring, summer is fast approaching which means NOW is the time to make your plans for this year’s festival. Planning ahead ensures that you’ll have a spot along the strand to kick up your heels to stylings from some of the best beach music bands in the southeast. This year’s festival is set for Saturday, June 4th. The full day of live entertainment gets underway at 11:00 am, with the gates opening at 10:00 am. Access to the action is easy, thanks to the new, improved and historic Carolina Beach Boardwalk.

The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce, the Cape Fear Shag Club, R.A. Jeffreys Distributing and the Town of Carolina Beach are getting pretty excited about this year’s festival! On May 1st, tickets will be available from the festival’s main host, The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce, which is located at 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd. Suite B. 

Advance tickets are $20 and $25 on the day of the festival. Other ticket outlets include Island Tackle & Hardware, Silver Dollar and Olde Salty’s. Please note that tickets are available for purchase with either cash or check - no credit card purchases, except for online orders which are available here.

To get the very most from your day of fun in the sun, follow the Boy Scout motto and "Be Prepared." Be sure to bring what you need to be comfortable, including your own chairs, towels and sun screen. Coolers are welcome and we encourage you to pack plenty of snacks and beverages, just please be aware that glass containers and pets are not allowed. Also please note: No refunds will be given. Festivalgoers who bring Anhauser Busch products (again, no glass please) will be eligible to register to win some Budweiser Swag!
