Reynolds/Architecture Corporation (R/A) was formed in Winston-Salem in the early ‘90’s to serve the growing Design/Build market that was emerging at that time. Joining forces with Landmark Builders, we provided Design/Build service primarily for the Medical, Corporate, Retail and Religious community within Central North Carolina. In 2004, after fourteen exhaustive years with over $40,000,000.00/year in work, R/A decided to have a change of scenes, down-sized and relocated to our wonderful community of Pleasure Island. Since that time, we have found success in the ever-changing landscape of North Lake Park Boulevard as well as continuing work in other parts of the state. R/A is responsible for the new Brew-Thru, the Island Tackle & Hardware renovation/addition, Tangerines Caribbean Grille, Victory Beach Vacations and the offices of Robert Caulder, Attorney. In addition, R/A has consulted on various projects for the Black Horn Bar & Kitchen, Tortuga’s Oceanfront Restaurant, Megerle’s Magic Amusement Park, The Dive, Shuck ‘n Shack, Magnolia Trace Townhomes (Gold Medal
winner in 2008 Parade of Homes), Victory Village Shopping Emporium and Mein Stein German Specialty Restaurant.
Prior to forming Reynolds/Architecture Corporation, Greg Reynolds, (a Greensboro native) graduated from UNC-Charlotte (BA-Architecture) and the University of Florida (Masters of Architecture), and then worked for several large firms in the Florida market producing the 27-story Peabody-Orlando as well as the Yacht Club and Beach Club Hotels at Disney World. In addition, Greg worked on many Corporate Headquarters, Department Of Defense projects and various municipal projects throughout the Southeast.
Since choosing Pleasure Island as their new home, Greg, his wife Teresa (a local artist) and 14 year old daughter Marissa have thrown themselves into Island life with open arms. Marissa is a 9th grader at Ashley, Teresa is known for her mosaics of virtually anything (i.e.
mannequins, lamps, wine racks, glass heads, etc.) which can be viewed on ebay, craigslist, and etsy under fluffbyteresa@yahoo.com, and Greg has volunteered his time and expertise to the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce as a Director, the Planning and Zoning board as a Commissioner and recently was named Volunteer of the Year by the Chamber. And let’s not forget Justin, their 27 year old son, living and working in the Burlington area in the IT field.
For all your Architecture and Design needs, you do not need to leave Pleasure Island anymore. Just give Greg or Teresa a call at (910)458-0082 or drop them a line at greg@rarch.com and we will be glad to consult with you on anything big or small.
