Beach Music Festival Saw Record Setting Crowds

They came, they boogied, they had tons of fun in the sun!

Record numbers of lovers of the beautiful North Carolina beaches and beach music helped make the 28th Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival held the first weekend in June on Pleasure Island one of the best ever!

Featuring three of the best bands in Beach Music today, the morning got kick-started with Jim Quick and Coastline at 11:00 (on his wedding day), followed by The Craig Woolard Band at 1:00. To close out the 28th Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival was Spare Change of LaGrange, NC, a regional favorite cross-over group.

Saturday morning had a beautiful sunrise and like magic, thousands descended on the Historic Boardwalk area of Carolina Beach. The lines started forming by 8:00 am and the Festival was on. After many hours shaggin’ and drinking in the sun, the well-behaved crowd of thousands slowly left the beach with another festival under their ‘belt’.

Overall, it was a great weekend of fun-loving, sun-worshipping and shaggin’ delight. We look forward to seeing you next year on June 7th at the 29th Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival!
