Freeman Park to Close Due to Hurricane Irene
Carolina Beach,
NC – Due to weather and tide conditions associated
with Hurricane Irene, the Town of Carolina Beach will close Freeman Park at
5pm on Friday, August 26th.
The park will be closed sooner if conditions
warrant. The park will be closed to all vehicular traffic and
camping. Lifeguards will not be on duty and everyone is encouraged to
keep out of the surf. The park will reopen once the weather improves
and high tides subside.
