Carolina Beach Town Vehicle Identification Decals Available

Permanent residents of the Town are required to purchase and display a Town Identification Decal on their automobile. The Town VID is a tax and is issued for a one-year period each year. Decals may be purchased at Town Hall between January 1st and March 31st at a cost of $5. Thereafter, decals may be purchased with an additional penalty charge of $10. Every motor vehicle, required to be licensed in the state and a resident within the town, must display a decal. Failure to display a current decal may result in a fine.

Permanent residents must provide a copy of N.C. Vehicle Registration with their Carolina Beach address. Out of town property owners must show a copy of New Hanover County tax bill or deed as well as a copy of their vehicle registration. VID’s may be purchased by mail with proper documentation and a self-addressed stamped envelope to Town of Carolina Beach, 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd., Carolina Beach, N.C. 28428.

Pleasure Island Parking - Paid Parking Starts April 1st

It's almost time for another sign that summer is just around the corner: paying for parking. Starting April 1st enforcement will begin at the paid parking lots and meters in Carolina Beach.

The Town of Carolina Beach has a great parking page on their website which clearly lays out where you can find a spot to park and how the rules work in the timed spots, parking lots, and metered spots. http://www.carolinabeach.org/site_new/pages/parking.html

Parking is currently free all year in Kure Beach, though paid parking has been under discussion.
