According to the weather forecast it should be sunny and around 90 degrees for most of the weekend. You can't beat that for some fun in the sun! Here is just a taste of what is happening on the island over the next few days. See it all on the Pleasure Island Event Calendar.

Friday, June 11th:

• Free Summer Concert at Fort Fisher - Mako Band kicks off the Summer Concert Series, playing at the Fort Fisher Military Recreation Area in Kure Beach from 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Saturday, June 12th:

• Carolina Beach Farmers Market - 8 am - 1 pm at the Carolina Beach Lake

Sunday, June 13th:

• Beach & Shag Music at the SeaWitch - DJ Mike Worley will be playing your favorite beach and shag tunes 3 - 9 pm at the SeaWitch Cafe & Tiki Bar at 224 Carolina Beach Ave N in Carolina Beach.
• Free Movie at the Lake - Star Trek at the Carolina Beach Lake starting at dusk (around 8:45 pm)
