Changes to Rules Concerning Pets on the Beach

Dogs and other pets will now be allowed on the Municipal Beach Strand for the Town of Carolina Beach from October 1st through March 31st. This keeps the rules concerning pets on the beach consistent between the Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. (Read the new Carolina Beach ordinance here.)

Of course, please remember to keep all dogs on leashes and to pick up after them!

For more on Carolina Beach and Kure Beach Leash Laws including the rules for Freeman Park (the North End) and Fort Fisher State Recreation Area visit PleasureIslandNC.org.

Beach Dogs Holiday Toy & Coat Drive

The Beach Dogs restaurant on Carolina Beach is collecting new, unwrapped toys and/or gently used coats for a holiday drive to benefit Pleasure Island families in need this Christmas season.

Help make this holiday special for our children on Pleasure Island by donating to this cause. The Christmas season can be so difficult for children and families in need so we can all pitch in to help spread some Christmas joy to those less fortunate on our island.

All items can be donated to the Beach Dogs Restaurant at 304 N. Lake Park Blvd. on Carolina Beach. The toys and coats will be distributed the week before Christmas.

For more information about this Holiday Toy and Coat Drive, contact Bill Reaves at 458-4623 or email Bill@BeachDogsCB.com.
